Eco- stay Lasithi (Crete)

All the villages on the Lassithi Plateau would make ideal destinations for an eco-stay. Many of them still produce traditional crafts, such as embroidery and basket-weaving. An area steeped in history, one can while-away a few hours or a number of weeks on Crete's largest plateau (11Kms by 6 Kms), at an elevation which averages 840 metres. Whilst it is permanently inhabited, most occupants tend to head to the coastal plains in summer, and as this is one of the highest inhabited points anywhere in the Mediterranean, winters can be harsh. Psychro, Argoulias and Aghios Georgios are especially nice places to stay, with the latter boasting an "eco park", replete with guest rooms.

This gorgeous hotel that you will stay in is built with Cretan traditional architecture that uses predominately materials such as marble, stone and wood. Also, there is a room for people with special needs.
